On Scene: Firefighters Battle Massive Factory Fire at Shadsworth Industrial Estate!

At 00:45 on 31/03/2025, firefighters from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service were called to a large fire at a commercial building on Sett End Road West, Shadsworth Industrial Estate, Blackburn. The fire, involving plastics, produced a significant smoke plume, leading to warnings for local residents to keep windows and doors closed. At the height of the incident, 10 fire engines, 2 aerial ladder platforms, a water tower, a firefighting robot, a high-volume pump (HVP), a command unit, and a drone were deployed. This video captures: 🔥 Crews setting up the High Volume Pump (HVP) to supply large amounts of water to the fire. 💧 A Water Bowser shuttling water to the scene to support firefighting efforts. 🚒 Firefighters working hard to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighbouring buildings. Emergency services remained at the scene for over 24 hours, with operations gradually scaling down throughout the day. Haslingden Road was reduced to a single lane due to emergency operations.
