What could lead someone into Saqar, one of the punishments mentioned in the Qur'an? In Surah Al-Muddathir (74:42–43), Allah describes a moment where people in the Hereafter are asked a powerful question: “What led you into Saqar?” And their answer is surprisingly simple: “We were not of those who prayed.” This reflection explores something many believers struggle with quietly — not denial of faith, but gradual neglect of prayer. Missing a prayer here, delaying another there, telling ourselves “later,” until slowly the heart becomes distant from salah. The Qur’an uses the word “salaka” meaning to follow a path, reminding us that losing our connection with Allah rarely happens all at once. It happens step by step. Ramadan is a powerful reset for our hearts. Mosques are full, prayers feel lighter, and the connection with Allah becomes stronger. But the real challenge is protecting that connection after Ramadan ends. This reminder reflects on the importance of salah, the quiet ways neglect can grow, and how we can return to prayer before distance becomes a habit. May Allah strengthen our connection with salah and keep our hearts close to Him. 🤍🌙 #RamadanReflection #QuranReflection #SurahAlMuddathir #SalahReminder #IslamicReminder #FaithReminder #RamadanSeries #QuranVerses #IslamicMotivation #DailyReminder
