On my final day in the city of Agra in India, I headed to its most famous site. The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum built in the 17th century by the fifth Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan. It was built to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. These days, the Taj Mahal is packed wih tourists from all over the world. I was concerned that it would be too busy, too expensive and a bit of a ripoff.
