A hike during a break in the rain, to get some exercise and show you some of my favorite native plants and habitats. I got caught in a downpour during the last half, and... a tornado siren??? In California! We did have a tornado rip through our mountain town last January and actually cause quite a bit of damage so I was on guard, but all ended well.
