Cleveland-Cliffs announces news incentive for workers to by American-made vehicles

On Friday, Republican U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno and Cleveland-Cliffs CEO Lourenco Goncalves spoke before a group of steelworkers about the future of steel manufacturing in Ohio. The pair also provided details on a new financial incentive for Cleveland-Cliffs employees to purchase American-made cars. Cleveland-Cliffs announced a new "Buy-American" incentive is starting for employees. The company will offer a $1,000 cash bonus to any employee who purchases or leases a new American-made vehicle that is manufactured using Cleveland-Cliffs' steel. Goncalves explained the overarching goal is to promote the purchase of domestically produced goods, and in turn, promote American industrial development as a whole. “If you want to do well for the American people, build things, produce things, manufacture things in America,” said Goncalves.
