Fal frett is one of the first groups of evolutionary Creole music, after, of course, Marius Cultier and the rock Liquid of Alain Jean Marie. The group was formed in 1976 by Jacky, Alex and Nicol Bernard with Bib Monville, Jacky Alpha and Ralph Thamar. The Bernard Brothers stayed the main pillars, while the biggest Caribbean musicians followed one another, among them: Robin VAUTOR, Luther François, Philip PAOLO and André WOODVINE. There were also prestigious guests, such as: Dominique Pifarelli, Henri Texier, the strings of MALAVOI, Jean Loup Longnon, Eric Bonheur, Luc Sclavis, Ricardo Izquierdo and Dave Samuel. When created Fal Frett was considered as a group of dynamic and esoteric Caribbean jazz. However, Jacky Bernard, the main composer, intended to create Creole songs, while leaving a great of room for improvisation and for collective creation; as in the standards of jazz. It was magnificently understood by the public, and Fal Frett became a reference group all over the Caribbean as well as in France. Their creations stayed in the Caribbean memory and became standards. The group was the revelation of the festival of Angoulême in 1982. The group then set off on tour, stopping off to perform in festivals in France, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Canada, the United States and especially in the Caribbean, where the group has acquired a great fame and continues of perform. Le groupe a été formé en 1976 par Jacky, Alex et Nicol BERNARD avec Bib MONVILLE, Jacky ALPHA et Ralph THAMAR. A sa création Fal Frett était considéré comme un groupe de jazz caraibéen dynamique et ésotérique; mais Jacky BERNARD, le principal compositeur, entendait créer des chansons créoles, tout en laissant une large part aux improvisations et à la création collective; un peu comme dans les standard de jazz. Cela fut merveilleusement compris du public, et Fal Frett devînt un groupe de réference dans toute la caraïbe et aussi en France. Leurs créations sont restées dans la mémoire caraïbéenne et sont devenues des standards. Le groupe fut la révélation du festival d'angoulême en 1982 et de là se sont enchainées les tournées dans les festivals de France, de Colombie, Côte d'ivoire, Canada, Usa, et surtout dans la caraïbe jusqu'à maintenant ou le groupe a acquis une grande notoriété, et continue de performer.
