This is a 19-minute video of highlights from the Aug. 4, 1970 Major League Baseball game between the Boston Red Sox and the Orioles in Baltimore, won by the Orioles, 5-2. It is from the WHDH TV in Boston broadcast, with Ken Coleman and Ned Martin on play by play and Johnny Pesky on analysis. Paul Blair hits two home runs, driving in three runs, and makes several fine catches in center field as the rampaging Orioles handle the Red Sox at Memorial Stadium. Oh, he steals a base, too. I challenge you to find one game that Blair played against Boston that he didn't have some hand in winning, he was that big of a Board Certified Red Sox Killer. The Robinson Boys, Boog Powell, Mark Belanger, and the starting pitching all got more acclaim, perhaps accurately, but this guy was just a winning ballplayer. The Orioles starter in this one, by the way, was Dave McNally, who earned his 15th victory against seven losses with a complete-game six-hitter. He allowed one earned run, walked two, and struck out three. Note: This game has been out there, and I've had it up as part of one big file. But I'm posting all the games individually now.
