Should you buy a destoner for your coffee roastery? This is the question that I attempt to answer in this video. Way back in April 2022, I committed to purchase our Loring S15 Falcon coffee roaster. As part of the purchase package, I also listed a detsoner along with bean cart and extended parts package. These are considered 'extras' and not sold as 'the roaster'. I paid $14,900 for the desonter in April 20222 (I'm not sure how much they are now) and strongly debated whether I needed one. Having received and installed the equipment, along with running it for the last 5 months, I can verify that it is a worthwhile addition to any modern coffee roastery. You'll see within the film that there have been a bunch of stones captured, all of which would have ended up in our or our customers grinders. The stones could have made a mess of customers burrs and increased our break down call outs for grinder repairs. So, should you buy a destoner for your coffee roastery?
