In this message, we will look at the blessed promise of the Holy Spirit. He was promised by the Lord Jesus as being given as power from on high and every believer is given the Holy Spirit upon justification, yet we must seek the continual infilling of the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus says that we are to ask, and to seek, and to knock and through that the heavenly Father we'll give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. This proof was at Pentecost where the apostles were gathered together in the upper room and the Holy Spirit was poured out in power. We also see that the Holy Spirit is only given to those who obey Him and keep the Lord's commandments and that through salvation each one is washed in regeneration and renewed by the Holy Spirit. It is His work! In the closing portion we see that the Holy Spirit gives each believer the graces necessary to live the Christian life! The Lord God almighty has given every believer all things to live the Christian life.
