In India, peoples are discriminated based on their caste and religion, so before the independence, British wants to give the equal representation for everyone so they proposed Communal award but Gandhi refused to accept that and Ambedkar and Gandhi came to a pact called Poona pact, in which reserved constituencies was allotted to Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribes. From 1954, 20 % reservation for SC/ST in education and employment was provided by the Indian government. In 1990, V.P Singh announced the 27% reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBCs). Till then 15% reservation for SC, 7.5% reservation for ST and 27% reservation for OBC was continued in India. Recently, a 10% reservation for the economically weaker section (EWS) was introduced by the Indian government. But those reservations are not filled properly and mostly occupied by the upper castes (Brahmins). But the OBC peoples constantly blame the SC/ST for not getting jobs in government organizations. The real enemy for OBC peoples are Brahmins they have to fight against them but not with the poor SC/ST people.
