About the Speaker: Dr. Ana Diéguez Antón studied Pharmacy at the Complutense University of Madrid. She then pursued graduate studies on the impact of the invasive hornet Vespa velutina in Spain. Currently, she is a postdoctoral fellow with the Xunta de Galicia at the University of Vigo, where her research focuses on pathogen surveillance, varroa resistance to synthetic acaricides, and the effects of invasive pests on honey bee health. She is also collaborating as a visiting scholar at the University of Manitoba Honey Bee Lab, where she has made significant contributions to joint research projects.
