We then head back to see the Trinity House Obelisk, a seven-metre-tall stone pillar built in eighteen forty-four to warn sailors of hidden rock shelves extending into the sea. After saying goodbye to the lighthouse, we return to Weymouth for what every UK trip should include — the best fish and chips in the world! 🐟🍟 Our lunch stop: Bennett’s Fish & Chips, a family-run restaurant located right on Weymouth Harbour, at number fourteen Trinity Road. On our way back to the ship, we stop by Portland Castle, built between fifteen thirty-nine and fifteen forty on the orders of King Henry the Eighth.
