In the past, I've added water or ice to the bag but this time I didn't I didn't completely wring out the vest, so there was enough water to dissolve the powder dye. Smooshing the vest around to dissolve the dye it a lot of fun and produces some great results! Fibre reactive dyes can be used on plant based fibre and animal based fibres. Acid dyes can only be used on animal based fibres.
