GET EARLY ACCESS TO VIDEOS ON PATREON: / airtrafficvisualised June 7, 2022. As a FedEx MD10 flies through northern Oklahoma, the crew contacts Kansas City Air Route Traffic Control Center (ZKC ARTCC) with one of the most serious emergencies that can occur aboard an aircraft – the aircraft’s systems are reporting a fire on board. The crew elects to begin an emergency descent and diversion to Tulsa. Emergency crews at the airport are scrambled and air traffic controllers work to bring the aircraft down. Can the crew and air traffic controllers coordinate to get the aircraft back on the ground safely? Watch and listen to find out. Interesting to note, this is the same airframe that was involved in the Federal Express Flight 705 hijack attempt in 1994. Flight Number: FX463 / FDX463 Route: Sacramento International Airport (SMF / KSMF) ❯ Memphis International Airport (MEM / KMEM) diverted to Tulsa International Airport (TUL / KTUL) Registration: N306FE Type: MD10 (converted by Boeing from DC10F) ---------- Music featured on the channel is available on Bandcamp: https://airtrafficvisualised.bandcamp... ---------- 0:00 FedEx 463 0:28 Declaring Emergency 4:05 Firetrucks Into Position 5:42 Joining the Approach 6:54 Landing 8:08 Holding and Diversions #Emergency #Mayday #AirTrafficVisualised ---------- Air traffic control audio courtesy of LiveATC.net. ---------- Content Attribution – The following are licensed under CC BY: "01302015 FedEx N306FE MD10F PANC NAEDIT" by Nathan Coats.
