Exploring Tularosa New Mexico was an unexpected, yet wonderful experience! We camped at Three Rivers Petroglyph BLM site in the Tularosa Basin and loved every second. There was a 2 week limit and an actual fee at this site but it did offer water and electric, as well as flush toilets. $9 w/ America the Beautiful Pass. With over 21,000 Petroglyphs to explore, we did the hikes over and over, seeing something new each time. We explored the nearby town of Ruidoso, New Mexico also. We truly fell in love with this area and are excited to return one day! It is about an hour from Tularosa, in the White Mountains, and is a small ski town with lots of shops and restaurants.
