Where we get introduced to the primal world that David Finch builds and the characterization that Kirkman is known for. Chieftain Enor is in the latter years of his life, he needs his son Anok to ready himself for leadership of the tribe. This means his son has to challenge him for Chieftain. Anok wants no parts in seeing his own father die at his hands, but there are others who deem themselves worthy and see Enor's Bloodline as weak. As the fierce warrior Thul sees an opportunity despite Enor's weakness to take leadership of the tribe for himself.
