Colin Williams is a TV producer and creative leader of the production company SixteenSouth. The company has just completed production of 52 episodes of Pajanimals - a brand new bedtime puppet show in partnership with the Jim Henson Company and the US cable giant, Sprout. In the last four years, Sixteen South has created and produced four award winning children's series including Sesame Tree, a new version of Sesame Street for CBeebies in partnership with Sesame Workshop, Big City Park, a co-production with BBC Scotland, for CBeebies, and the BAFTA award winning Big & Small in partnership with Kindle Entertainment, also for CBeebies. Colin talks to TEDxBelfast at Titanic Belfast about Fear; not only as a creative producer but as a young boy going up in a Belfast at war with itself. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
