In this video, we explain how planting well-grown fruit plants can help you establish a productive garden much faster. Based on our nursery experience, when large and healthy plants are planted properly, they can establish quickly and even start giving fruits within a short period after planting. We also explain the correct planting method. A 3x3 pit should be prepared, top soil separated, and mixed with organic manure and bio-fertilizers before planting. This helps the roots establish quickly and improves early growth. Once the plant settles and root establishment happens (around 2 months), proper fertilization becomes important. A small pit should be made about 2 feet away from the plant, and seaweed fertilizer along with farmyard manure or organic manure can be applied. This improves soil structure and supports healthy plant development. In this video we also show some special fruit varieties available in our nursery: • Thai Jumbo Red Mango – Large fruits with red skin and yellow flesh • Pune Fig – Known for producing fruits frequently, often one fruit per leaf node • White Jamun – Higher fruiting compared to regular black jamun and suitable for terrace gardening • Black Suriname Cherry – Sweeter than the red variety with very mild sourness • Cedar Bay Cherry and Longan – Sweet fruit varieties suitable for home gardens For pest management, neem oil can be mixed with a sticker solution and sprayed. About 3 ml neem oil per litre of water helps control pest multiplication naturally. Creating a productive fruit garden is not just about planting trees — proper care, fertilization, and maintenance are essential. Based on our nursery experience, many of these varieties are suitable for home gardens and terrace gardening in Tamil Nadu climate. Happy Gardening!
