Week 2 of Chronic UTI Treatment — Fatigue & Flares | Day 8-10

In this episode of my Chronic UTI journey, I document day 8 to 10 of treating an embedded urinary tract infection following the Professor Malone-Lee protocol (Artemis Cystitis at Harley Street, London) in the run up to my Kate Bush performance at Camp & Furnace, Liverpool. Week 2 is defined by intense fatigue, worsening flares, and the emotional reality of navigating a medical system that often struggles to recognise the condition, often misdiagnosing as Interstitial Cystitis, Bladder Pain Syndrome or Recurrent UTI. Despite severe symptoms, tests continue to return “normal,” leaving many patients feeling unheard and without answers. I share the reality of trying to follow diagnosis protocols while waiting months for specialist appointments, cancelling commitments due to illness, and questioning whether the care being offered is truly relevant to the condition (urinalysis, cystoscopy and urethral dilation). This episode also explores the physical and emotional toll of chronic illness: symptoms and side effects, antibiotic history, and the exhaustion that comes with feeling dismissed and unheard by the system meant to help. I hope to shed light on the reality many UTI sufferers face and help others feel less alone in their search for answers.
