Grand inauguration and Blessing Ceremony of the St. Anna Sisters' convent in Chhipadohar On January 28, 2026, the inauguration and blessing ceremony of the St. Anna Sisters' convent in Chhipadohar was celebrated with great reverence, devotion, and joy. On this auspicious occasion, the Most Reverend Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas of the Daltonganj Diocese formally blessed the house with prayers and religious rituals. The dignified presence of the Vicar General further enhanced the solemnity of the event. The ceremony was conducted in a prayerful atmosphere, with the attendance of 14 priests and approximately 26 nuns from various religious congregations and locations. Sister Anima Dang, the Provincial of St. Anna Gumla, was present with her council members. She warmly welcomed and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Bishop, the Vicar General, all the priests, and the nuns who had traveled from afar. Local parishioners also actively participated in the event. Members of the women's association and many other parishioners were present in large numbers. In his inspiring message, Bishop Mascarenhas said that how our lives develop depends on where and in what environment we are planted. He emphasized that everything comes from God and whatever we have is a result of His grace. Without God and His grace, we can do nothing. During the final blessing, Bishop Mascarenhas especially encouraged the children and students, saying that just as food nourishes our bodies, so too is education essential for our intellectual development.
