We all have heard of the name “Radha” in a number of stories related to Lord Krishna. Some of us also heard from some people that Radha was the lover of Sri Krishna, though there is a huge difference between ‘love’ & ‘eternal love’. There was no physical relationship between Lord Krishna & Radha Rani. It was a very pure relationship because though Lord Krishna & Radha Rani had their respective bodies, but both of them shared the same soul. Long back on “Satya Yug”, a sage named Abhimanyu meditated & satisfied Lord Vishnu, 3 times in his life time, & in all the three times he wanted the same boon from Lord Vishnu. The boon that sage Abhimanyu wanted was that Goddess Lakshmi would be his wife in his next life. We all know that Goddess Lakshmi is the wife of the almighty i.e., Lord Vishnu. The almighty straight away denied to give the boon to the sage in first 2 times. But in the 3rd time he gave the boon to the sage with a condition. The condition was that Goddess Lakshmi would be the wife of sage Abhimanyu in his next life, but the sage wouldn’t be able to enjoy his husbandhood at that time. Accordingly, sage Abhimanyu took his next birth in a place named Brajapur, Vrindavan. He was named Ayann Ghosh & astonishingly he was born as a Eunuch. And he was later married to Radha Rani. So, Radha Rani, who shared the same sole with Lord Krishna i.e. the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was none other than Goddess Lakshmi herself. Sri Krishna was “Sachchidananda”. I repeat, Sri Krishna was “Sachchidananda”. This very word “Sachchidananda” can be divided into three parts: “Sat”, “Chit” & “Ananda” meaning “Existence”, “Consciousness” & “Eternal” Happiness. If the first two divisions i.e. “Existence” & “Consciousness” belonged to Sri Krishna, then the last division i.e. “Eternal Happiness” belonged to Radha Rani. Well the birth of Radha Rani is associated with another story which is as follows: - Suryadev, i.e. the Sun God, once started to meditate to satisfy Lord Vishnu. So, for a few days no sunlight fell on earth and other planets. Life was becoming impossible & mother nature was in a big trouble without the source of light i.e. Sun God. So, all the other Gods i.e. the “Devatas” went to the home of Lord Vishnu i.e. “Vaikunth” and requested before the almighty to do something to bring the Sun God to his original position in order to save the living beings of the nature. The almighty had no other option other than going in front of the Sun God & praise him that he was satisfied by Sun God’s meditation, & he finally did so. After that Lord Vishnu asked the Sun God about the blessing or boom that he wanted from the almighty. The Sun God said before the almighty that he once wanted to have a daughter who would be the closest person to Lord Vishnu one day. Lord said to the Sun God that his wish was definitely going to be fulfilled. Hence, the Sun God again went back to its original position & the lives of all the living organisms were secured again & mother nature was finally relieved. And finally in “Dwapar Yug”, a part of Sun God took birth in a king’s family & he grew up to be King Brishabhanu & later his Queen Kirtida gave birth to Radha Rani. Thus Radha Rani was that daughter of Suryadev or Sun God, who shared the same soul with Sri Krishna i.e. the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
