AUST & the Ministry of State for Information Technology & Artificial Intelligence Sign Strategic MoU

The American University of Science and Technology (AUST) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of State for Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence at AUST’s Beirut campus (Block B – Conference Room B7). The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Kamal Shehadi, Minister of State for Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, and Dr. Riad Sakr, President of AUST. The MoU establishes a strategic, non-binding framework to advance national priorities in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and digital transformation, aligning academic excellence with Lebanon’s innovation agenda. The collaboration will focus on five key pillars: research and thought leadership; training, upskilling, and capacity building; expert advisory and consultancy; talent development and applied learning; and events and knowledge exchange. The agreement reflects a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration between academia and government to enhance Lebanon’s long-term competitiveness and economic resilience. Visit www.aust.edu.lb
