What kind of deities are they, those who seek to uplift and enrich the world or those who hope to raze the current order to ashes so they can rule the aftermath? Regardless of their motives, their presence will resound throughout the world in the second maelstrom. Should we be hopeful or fearful in times like these? Perhaps the most fundamental part of Deadlock, the Patrons are the reason we’re here at all. They intend to be summoned and are warring for which of the two will rise to power. As far as we’re aware, one WILL be summoned, its more of which will be everpresent in the coming years, if not decades. New York will be shaped around either of the Hidden King or the Archmother, so best choose a side while you still have the chance. The game features two teams with six players, with the goal being to destroy the enemy "patron", a floating orb entity. Initially known as Neon Prime, Deadlock was first leaked to the public in May 2024 while its Steam page was published in August. It has since remained an invite-only game, reaching a concurrent player count of over 160,000 in September 2024. The Six Heroes update was made on the 18th of August 2025 and had introduced the new characters of Mina, Victor, The Doorman, Drifter, Paige and Billy. Steam Machine is a series of small form factor gaming computers by Valve, designed to operate SteamOS to provide a home game console-like experience. The first iteration of the Steam Machine was developed in collaboration with several computer vendors who were engaged with Valve to develop their own versions of Steam Machines for retail, offering additional options atop Valve's requirements such as dual-booting options with Windows and the ability to upgrade the computer. The second iteration is developed by Valve themselves. Consumers could digitally purchase video games on their Steam Machine through Valve's namesake Steam storefront.
