Banana Peel, Butt Light Climbing Route Rock Climbing to the summit of Stawamus Chief was the most challenging climb of my life. I had the full support of my lovely wife and the climb could not be better even though extremely challenging and dangerous! I just wonder on those critical moments of the climb, how I found so much power to exert in to the climb of vertical rocks!! At certain points in the climb my body was giving up but my mind was in full motion. And I think that was the magic! In the past I have experienced those moments in marathons. Mind drives the body even though the body has given up. "Most of the climbing in Squamish is centered around the Stawamus Chief. "The Chief", as it is known, is a massive granite monolith towering some 700 metres above Squamish and Howe Sound and has hundreds of climbing routes for every level of climber.
