7:02 AM on Sunday, December 21, 2025 District of North Vancouver, British Columbia Flint & Feather Climb in a Winter Wonderland ❄️ Extreme Conditions We began this climb in complete darkness, headlamps cutting through the cold as we pushed upward toward the rocky gully. Snow fell steadily, and the temperature dropped with every step. By the time we reached the rocks—about two-thirds of the way up—the mountain revealed its true character. The weather turned brutal. Freezing winds howled through the gully, snow coated every surface, and the rocks offered no reliable handholds. Being among the first climbers on the trail, we faced untouched, icy conditions that demanded full focus and commitment. Every move had to be earned. The crux rock was the defining challenge—steep, exposed, and unforgiving. Just beyond it, the chimney became the second major test, packed with ice and frozen debris, requiring careful, deliberate movement in relentless cold. Despite the conditions, our team stayed calm, connected, and determined. We trusted each other, moved methodically, and refused to turn back. We completed the climb without injury, marking our first winter ascent of Flint & Feather as a complete success—earned through grit, teamwork, and respect for the mountain. ❄️ Snow. Wind. Cold. Commitment.
