Buckdale Sation Grand Opening - Yorkshire Dales Model Railway

The Grand Opening! It’s time to officially open the new and improved version of Buckdale Staion. I came armed with bigger and sharper scissors this time, to little effect. The only major change left to make is to add another lightbulb above the station, as this area has always been a bit darker than other areas of the layout. The completion of this rebuild brings both of the stations on my layout up to the same standards. All the metcalfe kits have been replaced with unique scratchbuilt structures, track layout has been improved, detail has been improved, realism has been improved and most importantly, atmosphere has been improved. Im really pleased with how both have turned out. For the next few months I’ll be focusing on smaller tasks and additions, as well as improving some of the rolling stock with close couplings, weathering etc. I need to also spruce up the loft a bit, perhaps a White Rose flag?
