Please join us at Urho, The Way on Saturday, February 27th at 10:00 am EST (3:00 pm GMT/ 8.30 pm IST) for Lecture IV of this month's virtual Symposium on the Life and Works of St. Severus the Great of Antioch. This lecture series is organized by Urho, The Way, in commemoration of the feast day of Patriarch St. Severus the Great of Antioch ♰ 538. Lecture IV will be delivered by Dr. Youhanna Youssef, the Associate Professor at St. Athanasius College, University of Divinity Melbourne, and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Eastern Christian Studies at Sankt Ignatios Theological Seminary, University College, Stockholm. During this last session of the symposium, H.E Mor Themotheos Thomas, the Metropolitan of Kottayam Diocese of the Syriac Orthodox Church and Secretary to the regional Holy Episcopal Synod, will be giving the Episcopal Concluding Message for this virtual symposium. Dr. Youhanna Youssef is a member of the Coptic Orthodox Church and a researcher with decades of experience in Coptic studies. His areas of interest include Patristics, Hagiography, Dogmatic Theology, and Christian-Arabic Studies. He is a prolific writer who has authored a number of publications including a monumental study on Mor Severus entitled, 'The Life and Works of Severus of Antioch in the Coptic and Copto-Arabic Tradition: Texts and Commentaries.' For Lecture IV, Dr. Youssef will be discussing the works of St. Severus of Antioch in the Coptic Church.
