We love hearing your ideas, so let us know what worlds or stories you’d like us to bring to life next! 🌿 ~ Ur: The City That Reached for the Gods 📜 Ibbi-Sin sat heavy on his throne, a king of dust and hunger. The wells had dried, the fields were barren, and his people starved. To the east, the Elamites had broken away, their warriors gathering like jackals beyond the hills, waiting for the city to fall. The gods, the priests whispered to Ibbi-Sin, must be fed. And so, taking their advice, the last of the city's cattle were burned, their smoke rising to the heavens. But no rain came. Only anger. The people of Ur saw their final food turned to ash and stormed the palace, breaking through the gates with nothing but fury. Ibbi-Sin's guards fought, but steel could not hold back hunger. The great halls of Ur ran red. Ibbi-Sin fled to his chamber, the last place left to him. The door burst open, swords at his throat, but before the killing blow—thunder... The sky split, and rain poured down. The people froze. He had been right. But as the first cheers rose, a second roar echoed through the city. The great gates crashed open, and the Elamites poured in. Ur burned, its people fled, and its king was dragged away in chains. As the fires swallowed his city, Ibbi-Sin closed his eyes.
