Camino Francés Day 6–9: Puente la Reina to Logroño | Wine Fountain, Templars & Game of the Goose

Walk with us through Camino Francés Days 6–9, from Puente la Reina to Logroño, on this slow Camino across medieval bridges, wheat fields, vineyards, Templar towns, and the legendary Irache Wine Fountain. This section of the Camino is packed with iconic moments: the Roman road out of Cirauqui, the ironwork at the Forge of Ayegui, the holy wells and hermitages, and finally the huge Camino-themed Game of the Goose in Logroño. We’re taking the Camino slowly—breaking traditional stages into shorter days so we can enjoy sunrises, small towns, architecture, wine country, and the stories that make this pilgrimage unforgettable. This video includes four days of the walk: • Puente la Reina → Lorca • Lorca → Villamayor de Monjardín • Villamayor → Torres del Río • Torres del Río → Logroño Along the way we explore: – Historic pilgrim towns like Estella, Los Arcos, and Viana – The Templar church of Santo Sepulcro in Torres del Río – The castle hill of Villamayor de Monjardín – The peaceful Hermitage of the Virgin of Poyo – The Camino’s second major wine region: La Rioja – The symbolic role of geese on the Camino (including goose footprints!) – And of course… pintxos on Calle San Laurel after crossing the bridge into Logroño.
