For the Mathcad Community Challenge November 2025 (submission period ends December 13), we're challenging you to simulate various aspects of the Battleship game in PTC Mathcad. If your submission is in an interactive, playable state, we'll play it for our YouTube channel! This video focuses on the worksheet submitted by Werner_E, using the full version of PTC Mathcad Prime. Werner's worksheet uses multiple types of Advanced Controls, making it highly interactive and rich with feedback, also enabling different modes of play. For this video, we played in "Verbose Mode", which gives full feedback on which kind of ship was shot by the player; normal mode will simply say you got a hit or miss. Use the vertical and horizontal Sliders with the Button advanced controls to select which coordinate on the 10x10 XY Plot to shoot. Feedback is provided with Text Box advanced controls. If you'll want to see how Werner constructed his worksheet, you'll have to download it and open his collapsed areas, look at the info in Draft View, and see his JScript code in his Advanced Controls.
