Fitting the Single Seat, Swivel Base, and 3.3 Ohm Resistor in Our Campervan Conversion

Welcome back to the channel, guys — Never Too Old! In today’s episode, I’m removing the double passenger seat in our van, installing a single seat base, and fitting a brand-new swivel seat! This job has been on the list for ages, and I’m thrilled to finally get it done… even if it involved heavy lifting, stubborn bolts, and a bit of colourful language behind the scenes. 😅 Here’s what you’ll see in this video: 🪛 Removing the original double seat 🔩 Loosening and removing the seatbelt bolt (thanks, Raymond!) 🧼 Cleaning and repainting the area temporarily 🪑 Fitting the single seat base and bolting it in 🔄 Installing the seat swivel plate 🔧 Aligning the bolts, washers, and locking nuts 💺 Mounting the new seat and testing the swivel ⚡ Installing the 3-ohm resistor to avoid airbag warning lights ✅ Checking for dashboard errors and securing all wiring 🪜 Realising we now need a step because the seat sits higher! 😂 Bonus: Trevor the “King” testing out his new throne with dangling legs These jobs are messy, awkward, and occasionally chaotic — but that’s van building!
