Making usable rooms in VR development sounds easy, right? Sadly, things are more complex than you’d think. But ExPresS XR’s RoomCreator comes to the rescue. It allows the automatic generation of simple rooms withing Unity’s ProBuilder as a base. You can easily configure the size, materials, or teleportation support of your rooms. To that this video describes the workflows for adding features to the room such as doors, hallways and adjusting the skybox. What is ExPresS XR? It is an abbreviation for “Experimentation and Presentation for Science with OpenXR”, a Unity toolkit for VR and XR based on the OpenXR-Standard.
