What are Intermountain Healthcare’s goals for me and my baby?

Our goals are the same as the patient’s goals and we really are part of the same team. If I were to list my goals, my goals would be, Number 1, for the mom and the baby to be healthy and happy, and Number 2, to have this process happen in the best - exactly the way the mom would want it to happen. Right? But there are times when the healthy, happy part supersedes what we had planned, and so we have to understand that. But that’s our goal and we want to provide this service, because we know how important this time is for people. We’ve been through it ourselves, and we’ve been lucky enough to be involved in the birth of lots of babies, and we view it as a really important time in people’s lives, and we want to make it that way for everyone. And so I hope that people will recognize that that’s the way we feel about taking care of them - that it’s an honor for us to be involved in those times, those intimate, but super important times in people’s lives.
