Because there are things I want to do outside of my PhD that I can’t seem to find the time for! Forcing myself up, and forcing a whole hour of quiet me time, means I’d better make the most of it. Two notes on things I should have emphasised in the video: . I got up an hour earlier every day and used that time to do something pleasurable — not work! (I did work once but that was my own fault because I should have finished that the day before) . I went to bed a lot earlier to make up for getting up early. I was not losing an hour’s sleep — I lost an hour in the evening by going to bed between 20:30-21:30 Got a question for me?
