It takes a big man to admit when you’re wrong, and even though I’m trying to stay in shape I have to admit I was wrong on this one. Football Manager always keeps you on your toes when it comes to tactical changes, but the roles usually stay in vogue. Sure the odd mezzala will take over the scene for a year, but I cannot remember my opinion of a role changing more from one year in FM to the next than this one right now. I also kind of love it. Every role can work in a system, and FM22 has given us the system for this role. This also carries a nice warning about other tactic videos or position/role videos I make about previous football managers. They carry the kernel of truth but adapting to a new match engine and a new FM can mean things I mention don’t apply anymore. Always trust your eyes in FM and don’t be afraid to try new things if you think they could work. Do your thing then brag about it in the comments, just use this role to help (especially if you go narrow).
