Have you ever had a difficult season in life that thrusts you into transition? It might be an unexpected ending to a job or a marriage. Or maybe there’s a global pandemic and everything about normal is suddenly gone. Whatever the reason, you’re probably feeling overwhelmed and unsure about how to move forward. These are normal feelings, and we all deal with transition in life. Some come in positive ways like graduations and retirements while others are sudden and shocking leaving us feeling out of control. But there’s good news!! God is not shocked or caught off guard, and he’s already made a way through this transition for you! He is still in control and he’s doing things in your circumstances that you don’t understand yet. By recognizing and understanding the natural progression to transition in life, we can steadily navigate the changes taking place around us. The first step is always the hardest -- choose to let go of what you’ve been holding onto in order to make room for what’s coming. Second, rest in the waiting and remember God is in control. Finally, take the leap of faith and step into the new. Understanding where we are in seasons of transition helps us to experience God, stay balanced, and remain faith filled no matter what is happening around us. Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT) - “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. Ephesians 2:10 (ESV) - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Isaiah 43:19 (ESV) - Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
