Adil Najam, Professor for International Relations, Earth and Environment at Boston University, summarizes the main security implications of climate change for Pakistan, most of which are water-related. He highlights specific steps Pakistan has taken to address these challenges, and what else can be done both by the country and the international community. Due to the interconnectedness of the region, Pakistan's climate and water challenges are highly relevant for its foreign and security policy. This interview has been conducted at the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin in November 2013.
