M110A2: The Long Arm of Artillery Ready for some old school cool? The M110A2 is a boomstick of an artillery unit rolling out with the next batch of Intercepted Shipments. This American-made, Tier III self-propelled howitzer served with the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force right up until 2024 — not bad for a Cold War veteran! In MWT: Tank Battles, the M110A2 has some of the longest range of all artillery units, capable of hitting distant targets with the help of the drone, proving particularly effective against stationary enemy artillery or anti-air. Armaments As a self-propelled artillery piece, the M110A2 is one big armament in and of itself. The primary and only platform is the M115 203 mm howitzer installed on a purpose-built chassis. M106 HE — The starting Mk 1 round that hits heavy right out of the box, with a large radius of nearly 45 meters. M650 HE — This Mk 2 upgrade brings base, explosion, and module damage up a notch, though loses the blast radius (down to some 30 meters). Very capable of one-shotting most of its contemporaries. M404 CH — The ultimate Mk 3 upgrade, this round delivers area saturation with a high cluster count, covering nearly 48 meters. Thanks to its superior range, the M110A2 is able to take potshots at enemy howitzers, rocket artillery, and anti-air units, obliterating stationary targets or forcing them to reposition.
