Craigleith Provincial Park is located along the South shore of Georgian Bay between Collingwood and Thornbury. We’ve stayed at Craigleith a few times now while hiking the Bruce Trail as it is only a short drive away and a good home base. The park offers camping and a day use area with waterfront access. If you’re just visiting for the day, permits can be purchased online up to 5 days ahead of time. There is also a picnic shelter in the day use area available for reservation. Craigleith is a long narrow provincial park, situated between Georgian Bay and highway 26. The park has approximately 1.5km of gorgeous shale shoreline. Craigleith is a popular spot for paddling and is also a great for swimming. There are 155 campsites (both electric and non-electric) located in 4 different campgrounds in the park. Throughout the campgrounds are 4 comfort stations with flush toilets. Two of the comfort stations have showers and one has laundry facilities. The park has a trailer dump station and a water fill station accessible by looping through the campground. Craigleith also has a playground located in the campground area of the park. This is one of the smaller provincial parks, but it has a beautiful shoreline and is nicely located near popular destinations! Follow @adventureswiththehills for more Ontario Adventures!
