I'm sorry it has taken me so long to get a new track but a mix of life stuff and then trying 5 or 6 different tracks and not being happy with them meant that I have been a bit quiet. I appreciate you all staying with me. So - we are going with The Good Soldier by Nine Inch Nails (from the album Year Zero) mashed up with Safe From Harm by Massive Attack (from Blue Lines). I think it's also worth mentioning that I am from near Bristol (born in Bath...the neighbouring city) so I have strong musical links to the Bristol Trip Hop scene as it was happening right next door. I don't have any geographical ties to Cleveland, Ohio though! :) This was a fun one and when I listened to The Good Soldier the other day I suddenly thought - damn...Safe From Harm would slot right in here. As always, I am trying to my best to give you an experience of a piece of music in it's own right by choosing lyrics that make a narrative and also selecting certain parts of the two songs and making hard decisions to lose bits too. It's never easy but I hope you enjoy the end result and the work that goes into me trying to satisfy my self musically as well as you guys too. As always, I DO NOT USE AI to make these mashups. They take days and that's fine..I enjoy the process. There are artefacts that come from stem separation which are annoying but impossible to erase at this stage...no doubt stem separation will improve over time..and when that happens there will be a strong argument to go back and do a lot of remixing!
