Switching Game Engines can be difficult. I moved to Godot Engine from the Unity Game Engine over the last couple of months for my next indie game dev project. With the recent changes with Unity, it was a great opportunity to see what other most popular game engines have to offer (Unreal Engine 5, GameMaker, Godot, etc). In this video, I discuss my experience moving to Godot, learning how to make a game in Godot 4, such as difficulties with learning the Godot 4 API, Godot C# vs GDScript, my process moving from Unity, and how my new project is coming along. If you've switched game engines at any point, let us know how you've found the transition and how you're getting on now! 💻 Links Second Channel:    / @dax_plays   Support me on Patreon:   / darkdax   Follow me on Twitter:   / thisisdarkdax   Join me LIVE on Twitch:   / darkdax96   🎬 Timestamps 00:00 - Intro 00:47 - Learning a new Game Engine 02:50 - Godot 4 vs Unity: Design Philosophy 05:35 - Godot 4 API: C# vs GDScript 11:40 - Dealing with Frustration 12:27 - Brilliant 13:52 - Moving Game Engines: The Right Mindset 15:05 - How's my Project is going? 15:46 - The Best Bit 🔗 Sources    • I Made Mr X's AI from Resident Evil 2...      • How to program in Godot - GDScript Tu...      • Making a Cozy Fantasy Game in Unity |...      • Designing Enemies for My Indie Game |...   🎵 Music https://pastebin.com/Xbuc4eMB This video was sponsored by Brilliant.
