Fleming for Edison Studios in 1901. 1) An unidentified actor plays Reuben, a country bumpkin who arrives at a hotel and strange things happen. He then tries to put out the gas lamp as if it were a candle and goes to bed, ignoring the very clear warning on the sign: "Don't blow out the gas". The next day, his funeral procession is seen passing in front of the hotel. 3) This was one of the first films filmed on the premises of the new Edison studio in Manhattan, leaving aside the old Black Maria studios. This film never received an official title.
