Recipe Kapsalon - Dutch kebab or gyro dish - Kapsalon is one of the most popular street dishes in the Netherlands, actually a fusion dish with Dutch and Middle Eastern influences. The name "Kapsalon" comes from the Dutch word for "hairdresser". The owner of a hairdressing salon had lunch at a nearby shawarma buffet and asked for various additions to his meal: e.g. Gouda cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, garlic sauce and so this wonderful composition was created. This dish was first prepared in Rotterdam in 2003. Kapsalon quickly became popular with both locals and tourists. It soon became a fast food hit. In the Netherlands, Kapsalon is most often eaten as a quick and filling lunch or as a hangover breakfast after a night of drinking. Ingredients: Marinated meat (Shoarma): 1 kg chicken breast or chicken leg fillet (even mixed) 2 tablespoons of olive oil 2 tablespoons of lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric 1 teaspoon of ground coriander 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom ½ teaspoon of ground cumin ¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon of red pepper ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper 2 teaspoons of salt 6 cloves of garlic For the garlic sauce: 5 tablespoons of Greek yogurt 5 tablespoons of mayonnaise 4 cloves of garlic salt pepper Other ingredients: -1kg of fried potatoes 120 g of Gouda cheese oil for frying potatoes 1 medium cucumber 2 medium red onions ½ head of iceberg lettuce 2 medium tomatoes If you liked the video, please like it and share it with as many people as possible.
