It’s Christmas and Christmas means cookies! This year I have put together a box of 7 different cookies (well, 6 cookies and a caramel) for Bageriet Lördag. Here is what I am making: SAFFRANSDRÖMMAR (Swedish “dream” cookies with saffron): 2:28 PEPPARKAKSGRISAR (Traditional Swedish gingerbread): 3:18 HÄSTSKOR (lightly spiced horse shoe cookies): 4:24 FRUITCAKEKAKOR (dried fruit cookies inspired by English fruit cake): 5:13 VANILJSMÖRKOLOR (soft vanilla caramels): 6:12 CHOKLADSNITTAR MED POLKAGRIS (chocolate “slices” with crushed candy cane): 7:12 NORSKA NÖTKAKOR (Norwegian hazelnut cookies): 8:24 WHAT IS BAGERIET LÖRDAG?? Bageriet Lördag is a small pop-up bakery in Stockholm, Sweden where you can preorder handmade Swedish & American-inspired pastries. We’re only open on Saturdays, and everything is baked to order in my apartment kitchen! Preorders open every Tuesday at 12:00 noon (Swedish time) and close on Wednesday—or earlier if we sell out.
