Picture the cross of Christ laid over the sanctuary path: the Door of four colors (blue, purple, scarlet, white) hung on five pillars; the altar where victims died; the laver where priests washed; the lampstand and table that gave light and bread; the altar of incense where prayers rose; and, beyond the veil, the ark where God’s law rested. Now see Jesus suffering seven wounds along this path—His feet, shame, side, hands, heart, brow, and thirsting tongue—each wound confronting one of the seven abominations God hates (Proverbs 6:16–19 KJV). In the sanctuary pattern fulfilled at the cross, Jesus is wounded precisely at the points where human sin most offends God (Prov 6:16–19), so that by His wounds we are healed (Isaiah 53:5 KJV), transformed into a living sanctuary (1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV), and called to take up our cross daily (Luke 9:23 KJV), crucifying the seven abominations within by His grace. This study argues exegetically and theologically that the seven stations of Christ’s passion, overlaid upon the sanctuary, unveil a redemptive reversal of the seven things the Lord hates, calling the church to truth, unity, humility, purity, mercy, holy imagination, and gospel-peace. The Christian life is a daily application of Calvary’s power. If we are to be true followers of the Lamb, we must heed the call to "die daily," crucifying the self in these seven stations. Do you struggle with: • A Proud Look (arrogance) instead of Christ's humility? • A Lying Tongue (deception) instead of Christ's truth? • Feet swift in running to mischief (hasty sin) instead of the Process of Conversion? Look up to the One who died to save you [cite: OHC 02_09]. Christ asks you to accept the full scope of His sacrifice. Take up your cross today and permit the power of His sevenfold atonement to put to death the seven things the LORD hates within your own heart, mind, and actions, so that you may live a life transformed by the Spirit of Holiness, Glory, and Life. Calls to action: o Daily surrender at the “altar”: morning consecration (Steps to Christ, p. 70). o Confession and restitution to heal discord (Matthew 5:23–24; Ephesians 4:3 KJV). o Commit to one act of service with your hands this week (Ephesians 4:28 KJV). o Practice truthful speech: no exaggeration, gossip, or slander (Ephesians 4:25; Colossians 3:9; James 3:2–10 KJV). o Meditate daily on Philippians 4:8 to retrain the imagination and heart.
