John Waite, the English rock singer and musician with his band, performs a cover of the New York City band Spider's Change at the Nancy and David Bilheimer Capital Theatre in Clearwater, Florida on January 30, 2026. Change was written by keyboardist Holly Knight and was the opening track and lead single from Between the Lines, Spider's second studio album, released in April 1981. John Waite covered Change as the second track and single from Ignition, John Waite's debut solo album released in May 1982. The video of John's cover of Change was popular on MTV and was featured on the 1985 film Vision Quest soundtrack. The re-launched single peaked at number 54 on the Billboard Hot 100.
