Our speakers this week are Gateway Rotary members. Most of you know that Lutz survived a prolonged, life threatening illness a few months. Lisa was with him every day, and they both learned life lessons from this experience that they would like to share. Lutz and Lisa are willing to use their recent experience to describe the confusion and potential for misunderstanding that can accompany the use of documents to direct emergency response. Bruce Murray has long experience in working with and discussing end-of-life care issues and understands Oregon and the POLST documents well. He will briefly discuss them and leave time for questions about end-of-life planning. Our Student Above Self award goes to Lily-Ann Klump from North Valley High School. Lily is a senior and interested in the law profession She is active in leadership, band, and studied in Spain. Her hobbies are traveling, working and listening to music.
