#badkajikuthu Day - 2 Triund to Illaqua Gote Distance - 3.5 Kms. This trek follows through Right side of the Rest House. This trek is rocky and slippery. Surroundings are full of Oak, Tosh and Barch trees all the way up. This trek becomes very precarious to traverse starting the month of April till May due to Hard Snow and Landslides. This trek is mostly used by Shepards, Trekkers and Locals. This trek is medium gradient uphill. Snowline is more peaceful, serene and beautiful place. One may feel mesmerized once you get to appreciate the scenic beauty from this spot. Triund - Snowline are both valuable for bird watchers and star gazers. Vegetation and fauna banishes at the height of 3200 meters. Illaqua Gote is below Indrahar pass at the altitude of 3350 meters. You can see few canopies/tents of Shepards at Illaqua Gote, these Shepards are known as PAL. These Shepards are Nomads and graze the flock of sheep and goats. They are local folks who keep traveling through these treks all year along with their flocks of sheep and goats. These Shepards are closely connected to Lord Shiva and they feel that in Summer Lord Shiva pervades at mountain Kailash and in Winter Lord Shiva prevails in Bharmour.
