Coyote hunting in brutal winter conditions that feel like I'm on another planet! 🥶 In this video, I head out into rural Nova Scotia in -10°C weather to knock on doors, gain permission to hunt private farmland, and set up on prime coyote territory surrounded by livestock and a local meat processing plant. After talking with multiple farmers dealing with ongoing coyote problems, including predators targeting lambs and barns, I secure access to a massive stretch of connected farmland. With reports that local coyotes aren’t responding well to electronic calls, I try a different strategy: long stands near gut piles along field edges and tree lines, hoping to catch a coyote slipping through before dark. Two cold-weather stands, high winds, snow-covered hills, and freezing temps make for a tough but rewarding day scouting new ground. No coyotes spotted this time, but the sign and local insight suggest this area is loaded. I’ll be back.
