New tram M34 in Gothenburg

Filmed during the first day in traffic for the new M34 tram in Gothenburg, on the 19th of January 2025. From start there are 2 M34s in traffic, M34 602 and M34 603. These will only be in service on line 11 between Saltholmen and Bergsjön in the beginning. Moving forward however, as more and more platforms are extended, also line 5 and eventually all lines will be serviced by the new trams. The reason behind the platform extension is that the M34 is the longest tram type in Gothenburg. At 45 meters it’s 12 meters longer than the second longest tram type, the M33.
